Be humble with the residents
Treat the devotees and the residents of the holy place with a humble attitude, in everyday dealings too.
The people who live in a holy place have given their lives to it. Be courteous with them, and with the people you deal with in small ways, arranging a ride, buying something in a shop. A modest and respectful manner there is part of the pilgrimage.
