Keep yourself and your home clean
Cleanliness is counted among the austerities of the body. Begin the day clean, and keep the place where you sit clean too.
Kṛṣṇa lists cleanliness among the austerities of the body, and Nārada’s list of good qualities includes bathing twice a day. Bathe, wear clean clothes, and keep the room where you chant and read tidy. A clean place makes it easier for the mind to settle.
