Avoid pride
Humility and freedom from pride come first in Kṛṣṇa’s list of the qualities of knowledge.
The list in the thirteenth chapter of the Gītā begins with humility and pridelessness. A learned person, a generous person, a person who chants well, can all be proud of it. Give credit where it is due, and keep the thought that all you have was given to you.
