Do not disregard your teacher
Listen to the one who teaches you, and follow what they ask. Disobeying one’s teacher is among the offenses to avoid.
A teacher is someone you have chosen to learn from, so take their instructions seriously. Kṛṣṇa lists approaching a bona fide teacher among the qualities of knowledge, and the lists of offenses to the holy name include disregarding one’s spiritual teacher. If you do not understand an instruction, ask humbly. Do not simply set it aside.
