Respect every devotee
Honor anyone who chants the holy name, at least in your mind, and show more respect and service to those further along.
The Nectar of Instruction gives a graded way to honor devotees. Honor in your mind anyone who chants the holy name, however new they are. Offer humble obeisances to a devotee who is initiated and engaged in service to the Lord. Seek the company and service of one who is advanced and has no habit of criticizing others. In daily life it begins with small things: greet people warmly and listen when they speak.
