Sit on a seat to worship
When you worship, sit on a mat or a seat, not on the bare floor.
A seat of your own, a small mat or cloth, keeps the place of worship clean and sets it apart from the rest of the room. The Nectar of Devotion lists worshiping while sitting on the bare floor, with no seat or carpet, among the offenses to avoid.
