Offer fragrant flowers
Offer flowers that have a fragrance, keep them in a clean vessel, and do not offer incense without a flower.
What you offer should be worth receiving: flowers with a fragrance, kept in a clean pot. The Nectar of Devotion, quoting the Varāha Purāṇa, warns against offering flowers with no fragrance, flowers kept in an unclean vessel, and incense without a flower.
