Offer with love, within your means
A leaf, a flower, a fruit or water offered with love is enough. Offer your best, and do not strain beyond your means.
Kṛṣṇa says in the Gītā that He accepts what is offered with devotion, even a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water. The Nectar of Devotion adds a balance: it lists failing to worship according to your means as an offense, so a person who can offer more should not stop at a leaf. Give the best you reasonably can, and give it with your heart.
