Give and receive with the right hand
Take prasāda and holy water in a cupped right hand, and avoid giving or taking anything with the left.
Temples ask visitors to accept what the priest gives, prasāda and holy water, with the right hand, cupped and reverently, and to avoid the left hand when giving or taking anything. It is easy to do once you have made it a habit.
